Assistive Device State Lemon Laws
Illinois
No Law Presently Available, but ...
A proposed law is being considered in the state legislature.
If passed, this law would apply to all devices and create a "lemon" presumption
for any device that was subject to 3 unsuccessful attempts to repair a defect
or if the device is out of service for 30 days or more, and entitle the
owner to replacement or a buyback. Resale of any
"buyback" device would require full disclosure.
