Turns out that nearly 10,000 2007 Cadillac CTS cars were
built in violation of federal safety requirements relating
to the sunroof and power windows electrical system, according
to federal safety investigators.
The suspect cars were built between January and May 2007
and GM predicts that about a fourth of the vehicles have
the problem, which originated when a GM supplier changed
computer software. Wiring harnesses are to be replaced to
fix the problem, GM has reported.
You aren’t supposed to be able to open or close the
sun roof after you shut the car off and have gotten out of
the car, but apparently you can. No one is explaining how
that can be a safety issue but apparently it is.
This may not be a dangerous lemon but if you’ve got
a dangerous lemon Cadillac, or any other kind of lemon car
or lemon truck, don’t go it alone!
