Federal Safety
Investigators say that the fuel tanks in these Bombardier
Ski Doo snow mobiles can crack and that would allow liquid
fuel and fuel vapor to leak out. The result? A very big danger
of fire, obviously.
The model name is located on the snowmobile side panels and
the affected vehicles were sold in black-yellow, yellow, or
black-slate colors nationwide from August 2007 to October 2007,
priced between $9,700 and $11,200, more or less. The defective
snowmobile Ski Doo units were built in Canada.
Dashing thru the snow — on a flaming snowmobile — is
not exactly what Grandma has in mind, no doubt!
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission warns that Grandma
and all other owners should park the snowmobiles until the
warranty repairs are completed on each lemon snow mobile.
