Dodge is recalling more than half a million vans and pickup
trucks equipped with automatic transmissions because the
sifter lever may move out of the park position (even when
in park and with the ignition key removed) allowing the
vehicle to runaway. Rollaway vehicles can crash and injure
people, Chrysler admits.
Every vehicle has a “park shift interlock system” that
is designed to prevent the shift gear from being moved
when the key is not in the ignition. The design also stops
it from moving until you put your foot on the brake pedal.
Problem is, in some Dodge vehicles their system doesn’t
work. Dodge and Chrysler aren’t saying why, but it’s
a dangerous situation if you’re the unlucky owner
of one of these runaway transmission trucks or vans built
by Dodge.
If you own a lemon Dodge, a Durango lemon, a lemon Dodge
Ram or another Dodge or Chrysler lemon, you may be entitled
to your money back or a new vehicle. Call us at 1-888-331-6422 or email us
