Cadillac CTS Recalled for Engine
Shut off Danger
Do
you own a 2005 or 2006 Cadillac CTS or STS? Would you like
a new one or your money back?
Any Cadillac is a gorgeous vehicle, but GM is recalling
more than 17,000 CTS and STS models, equipped with a 6 cylinder
engine, because the engine can shut off with no warning and
disable the car so you can’t start it up afterwards.
GM suspects a fuel screen can be part of the problem and
warns owners to keep more than a quarter tank of fuel in
the vehicle until the recall can be performed. GM plans to
reprogram the CTS and STS computers to compensate for the
fuel problem, according to the federal government’s
safety people at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
