Ford announced it was recalling 199,000 2006 Escape vehicles
when it was discovered that some Ford Escape vehicles may
have been built with faulty windshield wiper gear assemblies
that could fracture and leave the driver with no working
windshield wipers in the middle of a rainstorm – and
that could lead to a crash.
