Nissan Recalls ‘06 Altima
Cars for Fire Danger
Got
a lemon Nissan car or truck? Would you like a new one
or your money back?
Nissan is recalling 85,000 2006 Nissan Altima cars equipped
with the 2.5 liter engine, because the piston rings may not “perform” properly.
That can cause excessive oil consumption and if the oil runs
lows, engine damage or fire can result.
If you own one of these potential lemon Nissan vehicles,
you may be entitled to money damages. Call us at 1-888-331-6422 or email us

The affected vehicles were manufactured in Tennessee and
Mississippi between January and May 2006. On June 2, 2006
Nissan notified its dealers to stop selling the affected
models until a cause and cure were determined. In its June
20 notice to federal safety officials, Nissan admitted it
did not have a fix for the problem yet.
Other defects in these vehicles may also exist. To find

Subframe defects in some 700 of the 2006 Nissan Altima vehicles
caused a recall in early 2006 but this recall dwarfs those
numbers.
